Downtown Bakery
Akron is our home, and downtown is the heart of it! We love being downtown Akron's premier micro-bakery, because we know if it's downtown it needs to be the best. Since opening in 2015, we start our mornings early to bake you the freshest bagels, croissants, cookies, pastries, quiche, cakes, and more. Walk through downtown in the early morning and you just might catch the smell of cinnamon rolls baking, wafting down Wheeler Lane onto Mill Street.
As a part of downtown Akron's small business community, we encourage you to patronize all of downtown's small businesses, especially as we all attempt to create a new normal in the midst of on ongoing pandemic. We need your support now, more than ever! Please take advantage of on street parking in front of the bakery on Mill Street (free on weekends!), the free parking lot in the rear of the building (accessible from High Street), or one of the many adjacent public parking decks. And if you're unsure, call ahead! We're happy to answer any questions you might have before you arrive, to ensure you have a thoroughly delicious experience.
Handcrafted with Quality Ingredients
High-quality, fresh ingredients are the foundation of each product we make. As a micro-bakery, every item is crafted in small batches using time-honored techniques to ensure the highest quality baked goods every time. No mixes or pre-made junk here! We're lucky to have access to a wide variety of quality local businesses, and you'll find ingredients from the Akron Honey Company, Not Yo' Daddy's Hot Sauce, Akron Coffee Roasters, Norka Beverage and more among those we use in our products and carry in our shop. We put thought into every item we use, so you don't have to.
A quality pastry calls for an expertly crafted coffee, so we took advantage of our closure during the pandemic to install a new Espresso Machine! You can now stop in Thursdays - Sundays for a variety of traditional espresso drinks, or a fresh cup of our filter-brewed coffee.
