Starts at $18/hour+ tips, commensurate with experience
We are looking for a full-time experienced Baker/Pastry Chef to lead our morning bake and execute some of our more difficult pastries, including croissants and macarons.
Must be available 35+ hours/week: early mornings (5am), most weekdays and at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). No nights.
Experience baking in a commercial kitchen is REQUIRED to be considered. We will train on our techniques and recipes, but we are looking for applicants with a good amount of prior experience in from-scratch baking, following specific recipes and methods in yeasted doughs, cakes, custards, pies, laminated pastries and other confections (macarons, pate a choux, etc). Though prior commercial experience is required, we are excited to invest in the right candidate who has a general versatility, baking knowledge and willingness to learn. A pastry degree would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
